Alexi Laiho " The letters “COBHC” (Children of bodom hate crew) tattoo"
Alexi Laiho has dedicated his life entirely to music as a singer, composer and guitar player. He started his career with bands like Sinergy, Warmen, Thy Serpent and Hypocrisy. Now he is the front man, singer and lead guitarist of the band Children of bodom. He has been nicknamed as “Wild Child” and also got “Wild Child” stickers on the Flying ‘V’ Jackson guitars he used. He recently switched to ESP guitars which have the similar shape but shark tooth inlays. Laiho has always been leaned towards an 80’s rock/metal image.
He is not only known for his guitar skills but also as a style icon when it comes to tattoos and long hair. His way of presenting himself is quite amazing with black nail polish on his fingers and the tattoos on his body which suits his build.
The letters “COBHC” (Children of bodom hate crew) has been tattooed on his left hand as each letter on each finger and “HATE” on his right. This made him unique among all the artists with tattoos though it was homage from Laiho to Ozzy Osbourne (O-Z-Z-Y). In the Young Guitar magazine, Alexi has been featured several times on its cover alongside Steve Vai, Zakk wylde and Yngwie Malmsteen. The serpent tattoo wrapping his ring finger on his left hand is one of a kind that gels with his ornamented left hand while the fast shreds on his guitar fret board. His entire left arm is tattooed with spider web designs and pinned wires on his right.
